Creative Kids

It is fun to watch the kids learn so much. They pick things up pretty well. They can count to ten and sometimes more. They do a decent job with the alphabet song, and they can even identify some letters. Some of the learning toys are really helping them a lot. They can sing some nursery rhymes all by themselves. Ella & Abby especially like 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat', 'Baa Baa Black Sheep', and 'Itsy Bitsy Spider'. They all like the VeggieTales song, too, and they ask us to help them sing it. Coloring is a newer favorite activity. A blank piece of paper is fine, but Thomas the Train, Dora, and Hello Kitty are also lots of fun to color. It is such a blessing that they enjoy reading their books and have fun learning in lots of different ways.

Happy 2008 Cousins! I haven't checked in since Dec. Pics are great. Ryan's girls all came down with Flu on Christmas Day and it proceeded to work through the whole family-but aren't Christmas celebrations with little ones fun anyway By the way congrats on the new little blessing! Check my facebook page for pics of Ryan's and Sarah's kids. Jonah is 9 months and I have him for a week while Sarah & Levi go for a 5th anniversary trip. I watch Ryan and Kristin's girls over the weekend when they have big retreats! We had a great family reunion on the Hall side at camp-climbing, canoeing, floating, paintball - new indoor pool and hottub. We'll have to try one when the kids are older and easier to travel! Google Hidden Acres, Dayton, IA. You could always bring the kids out with your folks for some private swim & gym time-just contact Ryan. I know you might not want to share when the visits are so short- That's OK. There's also a new place in Ankeny-indoor fun park with inflatables for little kids-http://www.recessgobananas.com/homepage.html -only half hour from your folks!

Bring your kids to The Playground For Kids in Ankeny. They only charge $5 for under 2 and 2 and up are only $7, they don't have those arcade games either. Here's the website www.theplaygroundforkids.com
